The Tupelo Press Teen Writing Center supports teen writers, our next generation of thinkers. We are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and rely on public support to assist us in fulfilling our mission to provide workshops, mentorship, readings and leadership for teen writers. Four years and many award winning students later, we are committed to fostering our future authors and thinkers.

I hope that as a fellow supporter of our future leaders, you will continue to share and support our commitment.

Think of what the world owes to the written word, and to those intrepid students picking up pens and paper and chronicling our history, recording everything they see, and everything they dream. Every future job, regardless of the field, relies on the power to convey, to communicate. Writers endlessly teach us how to say what needs to be said, and every job, film, and song is begun with a word, in thought or on the page.

Help us give our young students every opportunity to learn how to share their words! The world needs our dreamers, those who envision our world with fresh eyes. They are watching us, their words remind us of who and what they see, and who they want to be.

We invite you to help us continue this mission, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,
Kirsten Miles

Tupelo Press Teen Writing Center

Help us show how much we value words. Our teen writers state that our readings, workshops, and anthology give them a sense of the worth of writing. We are incredibly grateful to Rita Dove for her endorsement, for Writerhouse for sharing meeting space, for the Virginia Festival of the Book for the teen writing contests we host for them each year, and for the Virginia Arts of the Book Center where we share the art of letterpress printing every year when we print the covers for our anthology.

You gift helps us meet the $5,000 needed to match our grant!
